Automotive technicians inspect, maintain, and repair cars and trucks, and as auto technology becomes more complex, the demand for highly skilled automotive technicians continues to increase. Monroe Community College offers 3 associate degree programs, and 2 certificates in automotive technology. The programs are as follows:

Certificates

  • Automotive Technology Apprentice Program (ATAP): offered evenings, 2 years part-time coursework, includes 4 semesters of co-op.
  • Toyota/Lexus Technical Education Network (T-TEN): offered daytime, 5 semesters rotating between full-time coursework and co-op.

 

A.A.S. Degrees

  • Automotive Technology Apprentice Program (ATAP): offered evenings, 3 years part-time coursework, includes 4 semesters of co-op.
  • General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM ASEP): offered daytime, 5 semesters rotating full-time coursework and co-op.
  • Toyota/Lexus Technical Education Network (T-TEN): offered daytime, 5 semesters rotating between full-time coursework and co-op.
